Covington High Football State Championship Game

The Covington Charger football team played in the 2018 Blue Cross Bowl in Cookeville for the state championship title. Covington and Alcoa both went in to the game with a 14-0 record. This was the sixth title championship game for the Chargers. Despite a devastating loss in the last minutes of the game, this was the best season in Covington football history.

Crestview Elementary Celebrates Career Week

CES celebrated career week by learning about various careers such as fire fighter, police officer, military officer, veterinarian, TCAT careers, Home Depot careers, real-estate agent, small business owner (Bluff City Soap), and bulldozer operator. Ms Buffy Wall organized and planned this exciting opportunity for our students. We would like to express our gratitude for the support and participation of our local community members.

Brighton Middle School Make-A-Wish

A Disney Make-A-Wish was granted by Brighton Middle School to a very happy and deserving young child on Friday, March 9th. All students took part in this special moment.

Covington High School's Future Business Leaders of America Support St. Jude

On February 2, 2018, Covington High School's Future Business Leaders of America toured St. Jude Research Hospital and presented them with a check for $1,000.00. The members worked very hard and collected all of this money from their classmates and neighbors. St. Jude is very close to our hearts because we have two students that have been treated there this year. Thank you for all of your support and all of the students' hard work.

Parent University on March 3rd at Brighton Middle School

Brighton Middle School will host a Parent University on Saturday, March 3, 2018. The keynote speaker will be Assistant U.S. Attorney General Deb Ireland, who will present a session on Social Media and Cell Phone Safety. Afterwards, parents can choose two other sessions to attend. Topics that will be presented include Financial Assistance for College, Healthy Lifestyles for Children and Teen, Transitioning to High School, The Three P’s of Parenting, and Crazy Computers.

Registration begins at 8:45, and sessions will be held at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00. There will be snacks and door prizes. Childcare will be provided for children 5 to 11 years old.
