Safe Internet for Students

Keeping Students Safe.
All Places. All Times. All Platforms.

Congress passed the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) as part of a major spending bill (H.R. 4577) on December 15, 2000. The President signed the bill into law on December 21, 2000 (Public Law 106-554).

CIPA Compliance and web security are a priority for Tipton County Schools. We realize that students require access to online learning apps and educational content from any device, anywhere. Over-blocking access to valuable content is not beneficial for effective learning, yet opening access can cause safety and security challenges. We are currently using ContentKeeper as our Internet filter.

ContentKeeper’s scalable, Web Filtering and Security Platform gives schools the comprehensive set of tools they need to allow safe access to valuable educational content across all devices and browsers both on and off-campus.
