Rainforest Heroes - Elementary site with student and teacher resources.

Tsunami: The Big Wave  NASA's Observatorium offers informational resources for students to explain what a tsunami is, the physics behind the wave, warning systems, what to do when they hit, and casualties data. A quiz and word search activity are also provided.

Tsunami:  Waves of Desctruction  Tourists, fishermen, homes and cars were swept away by walls of water that rolled across the Bay of Bengal, unleashed by the 9-magnitude quake. CNN has compiled many resources dealing with this devastating natural occurrence.

TVA for Kids! This site has information to offer students that can help them understand what electricity is and how it’s generated, how TVA manages the Tennessee River to balance many different uses, and how TVA works in many other ways to benefit the people of the region and the country as a whole.  Click on "For Teachers" for lesson ideas and other information.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Volcano World - Offered through the University of North Dakota, this site offers materials for teachers, students and information on volcanos around the world as well as those that are active.
