WELCOME
TO MMS
Spring Pictures will be in the morning of Monday, March 15th
Congratulations to the Beta Club for raising $290.00 for the Haiti Relief Fund.
Good Job!!!
Due to all the snow and ice we have had, the TCAP test has been moved to April 1st-9th. We will begin on the Thursday before Good Friday and resume the following Monday. At this time, we will still be out of school on April 2nd for Good Friday.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We desperately need calculators for our students to use in math and on the TCAP test. We need them to be a certain type also as we are limited by the state department to the types we can use. The following link will show you the kinds that we can use or if you prefer we can accept a monetary donation towards the purchase of these. You can send the calculator or monetary donation to Ms.Albright and she will direct this to the proper place. We will send a receipt home if you send money. We will keep these in the library, bar code them, and check them out to the teachers on the basis of need.
Thank you

Dear Parents,
If you are able to help us during TCAP week,April 1-9, 2010, please contact us at 837-5738 (Ms. Sullivan) or 837-5732 (Ms. Shipley). We will only need your help for a few hours each morning.
Spring Sports Try-Outs
You must have a physical to try-out
K-12 Planet has been replaced with our new Parent -Connect system which is now in effect. This will allow you to log in to the grading system and keep up with your child's grades in all of the subjects. Click here for the necessary forms or you may pick up the forms in the front office, fill them out, bring them to the school in person and we can get you started using the program.
WE CANNOT SEND THESE FORMS BY YOUR STUDENT.
It is imperative that students know how they are getting home on days we close early due to inclement weather or other unforseen circumstances. When the TV stations are predicting inclement weather that may arrive after school starts, let your students know before they leave the house if they are to ride the bus home or if they will be a car rider in the event of early school closing.
Planning ahead helps MMS to be more efficient in the dismissal process.
Please watch the local TV stations about school closings when the area is experiencing inclement weather. We will attempt to put it on the website as soon as we know of any closings.
If school is cancelled on a Friday due to inclement weather, Saturday School scheduled the next day will be out as well.
Medical News
During this time of a higher than normal absentee rate and any time you need to do the following:
sneeze/cough into the bend of your elbow, not your hand
use soap/water or hand sanitizer frequently
stay away from school/work until one has been fever free for 24 hrs w/o the use of medicines
do not eat/drink after anyone
Try-Outs for Sports
MUST HAVE PHYSICAL BEFORE TRYING OUT FOR ANY SPORTS TEAM AT MMS
Cars should not be parking off of the road down from the school to pick up students who are walking home. All cars should stay in line and pick up students in back of the school. Cars parking off the road create a safety concern for walkers and traffic.
Please tell your students that walk home in the afternoon to stay on the sidewalk and not to go across the hill in the wooded area.
