Try-Outs for Sports
MUST HAVE PHYSICAL BEFORE TRYING OUT FOR ANY SPORTS TEAM AT MMS
It is imperative that students know how they are getting home on days we close early due to inclimate weather or other unforseen circumstances. When the TV stations are predicting inclimate weather that may arrive after school starts, let your students know before they leave the house if they are to ride the bus home or if they will be a car rider in the event of early school closing.
Planning ahead helps MMS to be more efficient in the dismissal process.
7th grade physicals.
Students entering the 7th grade do not have to have the well child checkup to participate in athletics for the 2008-09 school year. The state board of education has suspended this rule for this school year. The state board of education still recommends that your 7th grade student get the well child exam for athletic participation but your 7th grader will be able to participate in athletics this school year 2008-09, if they receive a regular sports physical. (This ruling does not exempt your 7th grade student from having a physical to participate, they still must have a physical to participate in athletics)
This is a link to the general website. As soon as we have completed teacher training we will begin using the system. We hope everything will be in place by during the 1st nine weeks. K-12 PlanetK-12 Enrollment Forms Form 1 Form 2 Form 3
Cars
should not be parking off of the road down from the school
to pick up students who are walking home. All cars should
stay in line and pick up students in back of the school. Cars
parking off the road create a safety concern for walkers and
traffic.
Please tell your students that walk home in the afternoon
to stay on the sidewalk and not to go across the hill in the
wooded area.TENNderCare
