and may leave campus after their last class each day.
Grade Placement
Grade placement is determined at the beginning of the year on the basis
of accumulated credits earned at that point. The student remains in that
grade for the entire year. The following scales are used to determine the
student's grade placement.

| minimum of 5 credits | 10th grade |

| minimum of 16 credits | 12th grade |
To be classified as a Senior, a student must be in their 4th year of
school.

The UNIVERSITY PREP path requires two (2) credits in the same foreign language and one (1) credit in fine arts in addition to the core courses previously listed. Four-year colleges and universities require Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry or another upper level math course. Students choosing the University Prep path should consider taking college-prep English in grades 9-12 and college-prep US History in grade 11. The remaining credits will be other electives.
The TECHNICAL PREP path requires four (4) related credits chosen from the vocational/technical electives in addition to the core courses previously listed. The remaining credits will be other electives.
The DUAL path meets the requirements of both the University Prep and Technical Prep paths.
HONOR ROLL
Munford High School encourages the students to excel in academics.
Excellence is acknowledged through a school honor roll which is posted
on the bulletin board in the main hall at the end of each grading period.
In order to be placed on this roll, a student must have "A's" and/or "B's".
in all classes and all S's in conduct.
The Tipton County Board of Education also recognizes academic achievement.
The County honor roll is published in the local newspapers at the end of
each grading period. A student must have "A's" in all classes and
all S's in conduct to be eligible.
PROGRESS REPORTS
Parents may request a written report on their student's progress in a class. This request may be made through the guidance department or the student may request it from the teacher. Students should request the progress report at least one class meeting prior to the date it is needed. Reports may be issued in the student's agenda or if the request is through the Guidance office, may be issued on an official Progress Report form.
REPORT CARDS:
Report cards are issued at the end of every six week grading period to notify the parents of the quality of work the student is doing. Grades are based on homework, daily work and test results as established by the teacher at the beginning of the school year. Letter grades are used on the report cards for each grading period.
Semester grades are an average of the grades for each six week period and the semester examination grade. All semester grades are put on the report card in numerals or percentage grades. Semester examination grades appear on the report cards as letter grades.
An incomplete is given only in those cases where illness or emergency prevents the student from completing his/her assignments. An incomplete on the report card becomes an "F" four weeks from the date issued if the work is not completed.
Report cards are to be signed by the parents and returned to the homeroom teacher the next school day.
NOTE: Semester report cards will not be issued until all fees and fines have been paid. Final report cards may be mailed to the home of the student if all fees are paid.
