You have made an excellent decision by enrolling in an Agriculture course.  By enrolling in agriculture has given you the opportunity to become a FFA member in the most outstanding FFA chapter in Tennessee .  FFA is unique in that every student who is involved has the chance to excel.  Whether you have an interest in pet s and animals, the environment, horticulture, leadership, row crops or even mechanics, you have the chance to develop and complete activities that fit you interests.

In addition, FFA provides you with the chance to make new friends develop leadership skills and prepare yourself for college and careers.  It’s a great way to become involved and make the most of you high school years.

The Munford FFA Chapter has been recognized as the number one chapter in West TN for the last five consecutive years.  We have also been selected as the most outstanding FFA Chapter in Tennessee for four years.  Most recently we were receive the National FFA 3 Star ranking…which is the highest ranking an FFA Chapter can receive!  In addition, the Munford FFA Chapter was recognized as one of the top ten chapters in the Nation as a Models of Innovation Chapter in Chapter Development.

The FFA Chapter will be hosting “Rush Week” August 21 – 24 for new and returning students to learn more about the many opportunities available throughout the year. At the conclusion of Rush Week the officers will be hosting a chapter cookout for old and new members to meet: Valentine Park , Thursday August 24, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.   A bus will be available for those students needing a ride from the school.  Meet in the Ag Building.  We hope to see you there!

I look forward to getting to know you better through class and FFA Activities.  I know you will be glad you have joined the agriculture education program and the FFA.  Please feel free to stop by or call me a t 837-5720 if you have questions.
