The wellness (health and physical education) curriculum will integrate concepts which apply to decisions related to nutrition, substance abuse prevention, and a plan for maintaining personal fitness and health.

Course Name: PE Weight Training/Conditioning
Prerequisites: Physical Exam
Semesters: 1
Credits: 1/2
Grade: 9-12

This course is designed to teach proper weight training techniques. The student will learn basic exercises and increase strength and endurance. Students will also learn the relationship between hart rate and oxygen input and carbon dioxide output. Students may choose this course for up to four years as long as satisfactory progress is made.
