Semesters: 2
Credits: 1
Grade: 12

This course is designed to provide students with foundations in both differential and integral calculus, including applications of each. The content includes analytic preparation, functions, limits, derivatives, integrals and transcendental functions. The purpose of this course is to prepare students for careers in mathematics, science, and engineering. The course outline includes topics recommended by the Tennessee State Framework for Calculus. Students enrolled in this course are encouraged to take the AP Calculus Exam. The AP exam is prepared and graded by the College Board. A passing grade in class does not guarantee a passing grade on the AP exam. A fee for the AP exam is required. While the AP test results are accepted at most colleges, the student is responsible for determining acceptance at the college of choice.
