This course is a beginning study of the French language as both an oral and written language with emphasis on pronunciation and basic grammar. The vocabulary learned in the course stresses commonplace activities (school, home, family, food, clothing, etc.) of the student.

This course is a continuation of Spanish I and II and III with 100% immersion into the Spanish language.  It provides a bridge to college courses since it expands and allows for the attainment of oral proficiency and usage of most grammatical concepts.

 

*9th grade students who are enrolled in CP English I and have scored in the 90%ile Total Language 8th grade TCAP may enroll in a foreign language.
