Weekly Shows

Our weekly shows feature events that are going on at Munford High School. Events the we film are football games, basketball games, wrestling meets, club activities, and assemblies. We also include comical elements in our shows like commercials and practical jokes.

The different clips of footage are introduced with anchor shoots. These anchor shots usually have a theme. Some of our themes have included:

Halloween

The Halloween show was one of the best shows we have done. All the anchors dressed up in costumes. The best costume was Dan's. He dressed up as a cheerleader. At the beginning of the show, Nick invited everyone to his Halloween party. Everyone seemed to have something else to do. As the show went on, one by one the anchors were kidnapped by a dark figure in a scream costume. When the last one was kidnapped, you see that it was Nick. He was taking them to his party. "I told you my party was gonna be crunk" said Nick, as everyone danced to country music playing in the background.

Santa vs. The Grinch

This show was another one of our more successful shows, in spite of the poor acting abilities of the Santa Claus played by Jordan. The Grinch was played by Nick, who played the part well. The Grinch steals all of Santa's presents while Santa snores away. Santa does not know what to do and even asks frosty for help. Just as the Grinch is stealing the last present, Santa catches him in the act. This if followed by a fight between them. Santa comes out as the victor and gets all the presents back in time to deliver them to all the good boys and girls.

Friday 13th

In this show, we had all kinds of superstitious elements. We even had a black ferret that crossed someone's path. This show itself seemed to have bad luck, however. Fred* thought that the show had already been put on the master and erased the show off of our new editing equipment. The show was not on the master yet. We then had to reedit the show. We had it all ready but then another staff member, Bob* unplugged the editing machine while it was running and erased the show a second time. Finally, after another editing session, we finished the show. We are not planning on doing anymore Friday 13th shows in the future.

Geeks

In the Geek show, almost all the anchors were geeks. The stars of the show were Tiffany, whose name was Beatrice, and Jeremy, whose name was Eugene. Beatrice had a crush on him and Eugene also liked Beatrice. There could not have been a better match for these two geeks. Beatrice is going to talk to Eugene, who is at his locker. When Eugene says hi she faints. In the end, the too geeks become boyfriend and girlfriend. To really appreciate this show you would have to see the great acting of Jeremy and Tiffany.

Saturday Night Live

The Saturday Night Live show consisted of a conglomerate of skits that the students came up with. The show even featured a new introductory logo that Nick engineered. The show included Jason and Chris as Hanz and Franz the body builders, a game show in which the contestants had to guess the different foods audience members ate from the smell of their burps, a commercial for a hair growing tonic called Scudzo, the Cougar cheerleaders, and a practical joke in which someone pretended to sneeze on an unsuspecting students while another anchor sprayed them with a spray bottle filled with water. The best one was when John Garret was sprayed. He felt of the water on his neck and then licked his hand. Between each of these clips was our own band which played everything from Offspring to Mozart.
