Student Accounts Information
Students who take the computer skills class will receive a "cms" account while enrolled at Crestview. Their username will begin with cms and have four digit numbers. For example, cms0000. The account that is assigned to them is theirs until they leave the school.
This account will allow them to log in to any computer at Crestview to access 1) an 8 Megabyte storage drive labeled with the letter G; and 2) a Student folder labeled with the letter H to access files that will be utilize in lessons throughout the class. Students are expected to memorize these usernames and to know their own password as the teacher is not responsible for helping students remember their password.
The students will be introduced to the account and reviewed approximately 2 times again. Each student will receive a small card. No password. The student will set up their password under my supervision.
Students are allowed to store files associated with lessons and project activities in class. Large files such as music and videos are NOT allowed to be stored into the G drive because they are exceedingly large in file size.
