Student Council
Council Sponsors 2009- 2010
The Crestview Middle School Student Council is composed
of one elected student per homeroom. Each representative must meet specific academic and
conduct requirements. Students participate in many projects that benefit the school and
the community. Some of this year's projects include:
-
Raising thousands of dollars
for St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital
-
Honor teachers during American Education
Week and Teacher Appreciation Week
-
Singing Christmas carols at Covington
Manor Nursing Home and the Adult Developmental Center
-
Collecting and distributing
food and supplies for the needy at Thanksgiving and Christmas
A year-end trip is planned as a reward for
all the students' hard work. The Student Council will travel to St. Louis in May and visit
the St Louis Arch, Six Flags, and attend a Cardinals baseball game.
Past projects include donating red velvet
curtains for the stage in the cafeteria, the PA system in the gym, red floor mats for the
school entrance, and the white wrought iron furniture in the courtyards.
