Immediate Release from
Crestview Middle's Local Chapter

Upcoming Dates from National Junior Honor Society:

November 21st, 2009, Saturday, a yard sale will be held in Crestview Middle's gym. Please let Mrs. Lisa Miller know by November 9th if you will be participating. Tables will be set up in the gym for you. Each NJHS member is responsible for selling at their own booth. All proceeds will go directly to the member. No money is to be turned in to Mrs. Miller. This is a good way for the students to earn money for their second payment to Son Tours. This could also provide spending money for the trip. The "gym sale" will last from 7am till 1pm. The sponsors will be having a concession stand during this time selling sausage and biscuits, coffee, snacks, and drinks.

December 3rd, 2009, Thursday, a Spaghetti supper and silent auction will be held during the CMS basketball game. Tickets will be issued to each member to sell before the supper so we can get an idea of how much spaghetti and other items to prepare. Mrs. Miller is asking that each parent donate a dessert. Please notify Mrs. Miller by Monday, November 30th if you are making something. Mrs. Miller is also asking that each member donate one new item to the silent auction. Please get the itmes in by November 30th so signs and auction forms can be made for each item. Mrs. Lisa Miller and Mrs. Debbie Max will store the items until the auction. Most businesses are willing to make a donation to help a school. This is being done just in time for Christmas shopping!!!

Date to be determined... NJHS will be joining with the CMS student council and sing Christmas carols at the local nursing homes.

December 10th, the second parent is due to Son Tours. The company will notify you with the amount due. Profits from the fundraiser will go toward the second payment. Without fund raising profits, the amount for the second payment is $205.

November 11th - December 1st, Candle Sales. More informaton on this to come.

If you have any questions regarding any event, please contact Mrs. Lisa Miller by e-mail or by phone at (901) 475-5900.
