Building Level Mentors


Jasmine Fussell

Mrs. Fussell is Crestview Middle School's Librarian. This is her tenth year at Crestview Middle. She taught sixth grade for eight years. She has taught English, reading, and science. Mrs. Fussell has been a building level mentor for the past five years. She has served as cheerleading sponsor, National Junior Honor Society sponsor, and student council sponsor.

Mrs. Fussell went to Covington High School and graduated in 1995. She has a Bachelors degree in K-8 Human Development from Christian Brothers University (1999), a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University (2002), and a Pre-K-12 Librarian Media Specialist certificate from Union University (2007).

She has lived in Tipton County for 18 years. She is married to Jason Fussell.

 


Diane Hart

Mrs. Hart is the Achieve Reading Teacher at Crestview Middle. She teaches students in grades 5 through 8 to help reinforce reading skills and comprehension. She has a bachelor's degree, master of arts, and an education specialist degree in Elementary Education from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She is a reading specialist and is highly qualified in this area. During her twenty years experience in Alabama and nineteen years in Tipton County Schools, Mrs. Hart has taught 1st through 8th grade. She has two children and three grandchildren and lives with her husband in Millington.

Dawn Platzke

Ms. Platzke is currently teaching Math at Crestview Middle School. This is her fifth year at Crestview Middle. She taught Science and Social Studies her first three years. Ms. Platzke graduated from Ripley High School in 1997. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education at the University of Memphis and a Masters of Arts degree in Teaching from Cumberland University. Ms. Platzke worked at Ripley Elementary School for the first two years of her teaching career as a Special Education teacher for grades third though fifth.  Ms. Platzke serves as a National Junior Honor Society sponsor. She currently resides in Ripley, Tennessee.

 



Jonathon Mooney

Mr. Mooney teaches computer skills and technology. He teaches fifth through eighth grade. He graduated from Ripley High School in 1997. He has a MicroComputer Support Specialist diploma from the Tennessee Technology Center at Ripley, TN (1998), an Associate of Science degree in Elementary Education from Dyersburg State Community College (2002), a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from The University of Memphis (2005), and is pursuing a masters degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.

Mr. Mooney has been with Crestview for four years now. He is Crestview Middle's webmaster, school site technology coordinator, and technology contact for all staff. He serves as a member of the Tipton County District Technology Committee. Mr. Mooney handles numerous duties such as taking photos for yearbook and website and setting up technology equipment and hardware for school wide in-services.

Mr. Mooney currently resides in Ripley, Tennessee. He has a pet miniature Doberman Pinscher named Lucky. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family.
