Oney J. and Adele H. Naifeh Memorial Scholarship - $1,000
1. Must attend a Tipton Co. School
2. Rank in the top 25% of their senior
class at the end of the 7th semester.
Tennessee Grocers & Convenience Store Association
Scholarship - $500-$1800
1. Children of full-time employees of companies that are members of TGSCA.
The employee must have been employed at least two years as of January 1, 2008.
2. Part-time student employees of companies that are members of TGSCA.
The student must have been employed for at least six months as of January
1, 2008
Turner Dairies Inc. Scholarships - $1,100
1. Must be a student employee or child of an employee of Turner Dairies
or employees of their wholesale customers.

AXA Achievement Scholarship - $10,000
Be U.S. citizen
Current high school senior
Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidence by outstanding achievement
in
an activity in school, the community or the workplace
Be recommended by an unrelated adult who can attest to the student’s
achievement

Harold Conner Scholarship – UT Martin - $500
- $3,000
Minimum 3.25 GPA
Minimum 21 ACT
The scholarship selection committee will give special consideration to students
with financial need, students from
underrepresented populations and first-generation college students.

Grote Chemistry Scholarship – UT Chattanooga
- $14,000
Complete high school Chemistry with an A or B
Minimum GPA of 3.5
Minimum of 26 ACT
Declare chemistry as the major at UTC

Paul O. Olson Memorial Scholarship - $500
The recipient must be:
A resident of Tipton County
Pursue a career in community service
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Involved in extra-curricular activities at school, church, etc.
Have record of community volunteer services
Write a short essay: “Why I Should Receive This Scholarship”

Tenn. Manufactured Housing Assoc.--Stan and Thelma
Plumlee Scholarship - $8000
Applicant must be associated with the manufactured housing industry by living
in a manufactured house,
work in the industry, or have a relative who works in the manufactured housing
industry.
Must attend a Tennessee college.

2008.

Dixie Youth - Scholarship available to students who played on a Dixie Youth team at any time while age 12 and younger. Check the website at www.dixie.org

Shelby Youth Sports – $500 - $1,000
Requirement to be considered is for a scholarship are that the applicant must
have been previously and
properly registered in one of the SYS Track, Football, or Cheerleading programs.

Junior Auxiliary Scholarship –
Applicant must be majoring in a child-related field
Other considerations are:
- A student who has not already received a full scholarship
- A student with a good GPA
- A student that is civic-minded and well-rounded

Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation Scholarship
Applications

Ned McWherter Scholars Program –
for academically superior Tennessee students who will attend college in the
state of TN.
Must have a 3.5 GPA and an ACT of 29. Deadline is February 15. (TSAC)
Robert C Byrd – a random selection procedure scholarship. Must have a 3.5 GPA or a 3.0 and at least a 24 ACT. Deadline March 1. (TSAC)
Minority Teaching Fellows Program – to encourage talented minority students to enter the teaching field. $5,000.00 award annually and incurs an obligation to teach in a Tennessee Public School for every year the award is received. 2.75 GPA and 18 ACT. Deadline is April 15. (TSAC)
Dependent Children’s Scholarship –
dependent of a law enforcement officer, fireman or emergency medical service
technician that was killed or permanently disabled due to an accident that
occurred in the line of duty while employed in Tennessee. Deadline is July
15. (TSAC)
