| This course is an overview of how
science is applied to solving crimes. Topics including history
of forensic sciences, collecting of evidence, analyzing results
and hands-on applications of many laboratory techniques will
be introduced in the study of solving crimes and identifying
people. Students will participate in a mock (staged) crime scene
to apply knowledge and skills gained. Jobs include forensic
nurses, odontologists, pathologists, psychiatrists, crime scene
investigators, medical examiners/coroners, forensic technicians,
criminalists, toxicologists, wildlife specialists, forensic
engineers, accountants, computer specialists, aviation and construction
accident investigators, forensic photographers, skull reconstructionists,
document and polygraph examiners |
