BMS National Junior Honor Society

To be considered for membership in the National Junior Honor Society the following requirements must be met:

2009-2010 academic yearly average of 93.0 or better (related arts classes do not factor in to this average)
Satisfactory conduct for the 2009-2010 school year (no ISP or OSS, no N’s or U’s in conduct, no bus suspensions, etc.)
Must have attended a Tipton County School for at least one semester of the 2009-2010 school year – Military families are excluded from this rule

These are the qualifications for membership. You are not a member until you receive a formal invitation from the organization and are inducted.

If you are interested in becoming a member of NJHS, please bring a copy of your last report card to Ms. Powell (room 521) by Friday, September 3, 2010. If you have lost your report card, you may get a new one printed in the office. The cost of a replacement report card is $1.00.

As a PowerSchool parent, you can check to see whether or not your child is in class right now, find out what tonight's homework is, confirm that last night's homework was handed in, and view your child's final grades as they exist in the teacher's gradebook at this very moment. After being absent from school ten (10) days, a student's absence will only be excused upon the presentation of a health provider's statement (i.e. doctor's note). Parent/guardian notes will not be accepted as an excused absence beyond the ten(10) day limit. Parent/guardian will receive a letter from the school after the tenth (10th) parent note.

A student being checked in or out of school must submit a parent/doctor note for it to be excused.

4 tardies or check in/outs are counted as 1 day absent from school.

Students are considered tardy if not in his/her classroom by 7:45
