Growing
up on a row crop and commercial produce farm in Ripley,
TN, choosing agriculture as a career was
obvious. I graduated from Ripley High School in 1992. I received
a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 1995 and a Master of Science
in Agricultural Operations Management in 2005, both from the University of
Tennessee at Martin. After various jobs in the agribusiness sector, I
began my employment as a Tipton County Adult Agriculture Extension Agent with
the University of Tennessee Extension in May of 2002. This career
choice led me to Brighton High
School in 2006.
My husband, Todd (who also choose a career in
agriculture), and I have two wonderful children. My faith and family
are extremely important to me. We
enjoy growing sweet corn and pumpkins together as well as continuing to help
my dad with his commercial row crop operation.
I am so thankful to be teaching Agriculture
Education at Brighton High School. I love our students, especially my FFA
members!!! mail
