BHS vs Munford
October 2, 2009

In the second Tipton County match-up of the season, the Cardinals faced district rival, the Munford Cougars. It was a back and forth game that literally down to the last play of the game. Danny Potter completed 21 of 38 passes for 319 yards.

Senior Isaiah Harris had 73 yards rushing and 82 yards receiving. Junior Treyshun Gardner was eqaully impressive with 112 yards rushing with 1 reception for 3 yards. Greg Starks had 4 rushes and 2 receptions for 37 yeards of total offense. Ricky Foster had 7 receptions for 135 yards, and James Murray had 5 receptions for 64 yards. John Osborne or Joseph Owens each had one reception.

Treyshun Gardner led the defense with 12 tackles. Terrel Zachery had 9 tackles and 1 sack, while Cody Rogers had 4 tackles and one sack. James Murray and Zack Rogowski had 5 tackles each. Greg Starks, Rujonn Glass, and Erwin Winfrey had 4 tackles each.

The Cardinals scored 5 touchdowns on the night. Isaiah Harris scored 3, and Ricky Foster and Treyshun Gardner each scored once. Gardner also had a two-point conversion, and Dylan Burnett kicked 3 of 4 extra point attempts. The Cardinals lost the Cougars 35-41. They move to 5-2 on the season, 1-1 in district play.
