BHS vs Kirby
November 6, 2009

After placing first in District 13AAA, the Cardinals hosted the first round of 6A playoffs, playing the Cougars of Kirby High School. Danny Potter completed 23 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns.

Isaiah Harris led the offense with 103 yards rushing and 3 receptions for 16 yards. Treyshun Gardner had 35 yards rushing with 1 reception. James Murray Had 5 receptions for 90 yards, while Ricky Foster had 6 receptions for 57 yards. Sohomore Greg Starks had 6 receptions for 31 yards, and John Osborne had 2 receptions for 29 yards.

Three Cardinals scored touchdowns: James Murray, Treyshun Garnder, and John Osborne. Dylan Burnett tacked on 3 extra point attempts. In the end, however, it was not enough, and the Cougars defeated the Cardinals 48-21.
