BHS vs Hardin County
October 16, 2009

The Cardinals traveled to Savannah to play Hardin County. The Tigers were ranked #3 in the state coming into the game. Quarterback Danny Potter completed 9 of 24 passes for 96 yards. Greg Starks also completed 1 pass for 34 yards to Isaiah Harris for a Cardinal touchdown! At half time the score was 21-12 Hardin County. After that, it was all Cardinal football!

Treyshun Gardner led the offense with 52 yards rushing and 16 yards receiving. Isaiah Harris had 61 yards rushing and 1 reception. Greg Starks had 28 yards rushing and 14 yards receiving. James Murray had 1 reception for 34 yards, and John Osborne had 3 for 60.

Treyshun Gardner also led the defense with 14 tackles, 2 sacks, and a blocked punt. Terrel Zachery had 9 tackles and a sack. Cody Rogers and Zack Rogowski had 6 tackles each, while Charles Armour, Greg Starks, Erwin Winfrey, and James Murray had 4 tackles a piece. Rujonn Glass and Joseph Owens each had 3 tackles.

Greg Starks scored two touchdowns on the night. James Murray, Treyshun Gardner, and John Osborne each scored a touchdown. Dylan Burnett kicked 2 of 4 point after attempts. Erwin Winfrey made up the two points, however, on a 4th quarter safety. The Cardinals went on to win 34-21.
