BHS vs Carver
October 9, 2009

The week of October 5-9, most of the students at Brighton High School students spent the week lying on the couch. Meanwhile, the Brighton football team was at school, hard at work preparing for Carver High. Danny Potter completed 5 of 11 passes for 65 yards and 3 touchdown passes.

Senior running back Isaiah Harris had 12 rushes for 96 yards. Treyshun Gardner went 7 for 44; Antonio Dickerson was 2 for 35. Joseph Ownes also had 14 yards. James Murray had 2 catches for 47 yards, and Ricky Foster had 2 receptions for 17 yards. John Osborne had 1 reception for 6 yards.

Treyshun Gardner led the defense again this week with 12 tackles and 1 sack. Terrel Zachery had 8 tackles and 1 sack, and Cody Rogers had 7 tackles and a sack. Erwin Winfrey had 4 tackles, while Charles Armour, Greg Starks, and James Murray had 3 tackles each. Isaiah Harris and Joseph Owens each had 2 tackles.

The Cardinals scored 6 touchdowns. James Murray scored two touchdowns, while Ricky Foster, Treyshun Gardner, Kelvin Freeman, and Isaiah Harris each scored a touchdown. Dylan Burnett scored 6 of 6 point after attempts. The Cardinals won 45-0.
