BHS vs Bartlett High School
August 28, 2009

The Brighton Cardinals played the Panthers of Bartlett High School (Shelby County) Friday night. Quarterback Danny Potter passed for 161 yards in 11 completions.

Isaiah Harris, a senior running back, had 82 yards in 8 carries. Treyshun Gardner picked up 46 yards in 11 carries and Greg Starks added 10 yards rushing. Ricky Foster had 4 receptions for 77 yards, while Joseph Owens had 1 for 56. James Murray and Rujonn Glass had 16 and 10 yards respectively.

Treyshun Gardner led the defense with 20 tackles. Senior Cody Rogers had 10 tackles and 1 sack, while Terrel Zachery had 9 tackles and 1 sack. Lavonte Johnson had 8 tackles and 1 sack. Sophomore Greg Starks had 9 tackles; Zack Rogowski had 8 tackles. Senior James Murray had 7 tackles.

Isaiah Harris scored two rushing touchdowns and one by way of a fumble recovery. The Cardinals defeated Bartlett in a close game by a score of 21-14. They move to 2-0 for the season.
