BHS Football Banquet
February 5, 2009

The annual football banquet to honor the accomplishments of the 2008 team was held at Brighton High School on February 5, 2009. Coach Will Wolfe honored the varsity team while Coach Brian Crowson recognized the freshmen football team's outstanding 7-1 season. Coach Hugh Freeze from Lambuth University was the guest speaker.

Congratulations to the Reigon 7-4A All Region/All Academic Team: First Team All Region-Chris Bradely, Garrett Holland, Kale Jackson, Joey Terry, and Albert Williams; Second Team All Region-Javanti Alston, James Murray, Cody Rogers, Damien Terry, and Terrel Zachery; Honorable Mention All Region-Bobby Elkins, Hunter Dowden, Lavonte Johnson, and Kirby Trew. All Acadmemic All Region-Chris Bradley, Garrett Holland, Cody Whitehorn, Timmy Anderson, Payson Braden, Kale Jackson, and Justin Shaw.

Kirby Trew and Albert Williams received the William McAllister Memorial Scholarship from Preston and Laura Porch, and Debe Simonton, president of the football boosters, recognized the three recipients of 2008's Harrison Simonton Memorial Camp Scholarship: Albert Williams, Damien Terry, and James Murray. The scholarship will send three more athletes to football camp during the summer of 2009.
