Favorite Movie

I love the movie 27 Dresses. I just went to see it this weekend, and my friend and I have already made plans to go see it again. We sat and talked about all the parts we liked. Let’s talk about why you should go see 27 Dresses too.

First, let’s look at the acting. The movie stars Katherine Heigel, who is also in Grey’s Anatomy, one of my favorite TV shows. Last year, she won an Emmy for her role as Izzy Stevens on the show. She is so cute, even though the directors chose to downplay how cute she is for the role in the film. James Marsden and Edward Burns play Heigel’s love interests. Both men have been in lots of popular movies and TV shows that I have seen before. I knew I would love them in 27 Dresses!

Next, let’s talk about the plot line. It is not exactly a new story. In fact, it is really the same old boy gets girl, boy loses girl, and boy gets girl in the end kind of story with borrowed plot lines. The plot borrows from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days with a Sleepless in Seattle twist. Heigel loves Marsden before she even knows who he is. The story may not be new, but it is definitely one that everyone loves!

Finally, let’s discuss the main character. Heigel plays Jane, who works as her boss’s personal assistant. She can never say no. She does everything for everyone, which is why she has dresses to prove she’s been faithful to twenty-seven brides. Her hard work attitude and commitment to her friends is definitely a trait that I could personally relate to. I sat in the theater and thought, “This is the story of my life.” I believe Jane is definitely someone that everyone can appreciate—either you are her, or you have someone in your life like her. Either way, everyone can find someone in the film with which to connect.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that if you went to see 27 Dresses, you would like it too! It has great casting with great plots. The characters are very believable. 27 Dresses is definitely worth your $8—Grab a friend and go see it today!
