"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."

Larry J. Crismon II

I was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee to two high school guidance counselors. Almost all of my family members are educators, including: my wife, and all of my in-laws (father, mother, sister, and brother) are in education.

I have been teaching since before I left high school. I was tutoring juniors and seniors as a sophomore for the National Honor Society in Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Advanced Math, and Calculus. I have taught in the Memphis City School system, substituted, and counseled youth with behavioral and emotional issues. I am a father to six-year-old twin boys, and my wife and I were high school sweethearts and were married in 2000.

I look forward to participating in the education of our kids at Brighton High School, and hope to be a memorable asset to their lives here.
