Welcome to my class. I was born in McMinnville Tennessee. My father joined the Navy when I was six. So, I spent the next twelve years of my life moving around to different duty stations with my father. I graduated from Central Bucks High School West in Doylestown PA. in 1995. I wanted to come back to Tennessee for College. I attended Middle Tennessee State University from 1995 to 1999. After earning a B.A. in biology I returned to Millington Tennessee to care for my parents after they both had major health issues. In the mean time I worked at the Navy Youth Center on base in Millington, were I met my future husband. I returned to MTSU to work toward my teaching certification in 2003. I finished the program in 2005. In the summer of 2005, I returned to West Tennessee to look for a teaching job. I was employed at Arlington Middle School teaching 8^th grade science for the 2005-2006 school year. Since then I have taught biology, physical science and life science at Covington High School and Ripley High School. This is my first year at Brighton. I am thrilled to be here and look forward to a fantastic year! I live in Brighton with my husband Chuck Allen and my beautiful step-daughter Colene. We have two female cats named Darcy and Riley and two crested geckos My hobbies and interests include reading, making dream catchers, watching movies, playing with Colene, and spending time with my family.
