TECH
TASKS
We will be continuing
the Technology Tasks this year; however,
we will be doing it in yet another slightly different way..
For the 2005-2006
school year we will differentiate the Tech Tasks. Teachers
will complete our Individualized Technology Proficiency
Profile (ITP), and from that we will work out an individual
plan for Tech Tasks for the current year.
|
Note: those
of you who are assigned to collaborate with another teacher four
days a week will be asked to the come to
the Training Lab one of those 45 minute periods instead. We will
use that time to work on all things technology - complete the
Technology Tasks, revise and update webpages, learn to utilize
the available technology equipment available for checkout, etc.
If you do not need that time in the Training Lab, you will
be expected to be in your collaborative teaching assignment.
Just let me know if you do NOT wish to take advantage of
Tech Time
If you are one of the teachers who do not have a collaborative
teaching assignment, you are welcome and encouraged (but
not required) to come at any time during the week during
your planning. If you would like to come before school on
Thursday mornings, I will be glad to be here then. We also
can work ANY day after school between 2:35 and 2:55.
At the end
of each semester, we will hold a drawing for a new classroom
computer from the list of teachers who have completed a
specified number of tech tasks.
I hope you will look at this as an opportunity to learn some new things
that will help you in your classroom, and that you will be able to
utilize the time during the week to come to the Lab.
