| Chic Nute
received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University
of Mississippi and his 45+ certification from the University of
Memphis. Before becoming an administrator, he was a very successful
coach where he won 818 games and 46 championships in various sports.
He has been name Coach of the Year six times and Tennessee Athletic
Director of the Year in 1999. Not only has Mr. Nute been a positive
image at school, his genuine concern and interest has been a positive
factor in his home communities. He helped co-found the West Tennessee
Middle Conference and serves on the state TMSAA committee. He attends
Crossway Baptist Church.
Mr. Nute is a member
of the State and National Athletic Directors' Association and
has served as district chairperson for football, volleyball,
baseball and softball. He has directed many tournaments. He
organized the Brighton High School hostess program, which is
designed to welcome game officials by serving refreshments
and escorting them to their designated parking area and dressing
rooms. When the game is over, Mr. Nute escorts officials to
their cars and the visiting team to their buses.
Mr. Nute resides
in Munford with his wife Bonnie, who teaches accounting at
Munford High School. Their daughter, Nita Michelle Harris,
teaches first grade and serves as Assistant Principal at an
elementary school in Montgomery County. Their son, Rick Nute,
teaches vocal music and is a very successful head boys' basketball
coach at Cheatham County Middle School in Ashland City, Tennessee.
