Coach Jacobs is married to the former Teena Jo Dennis from Richwood, TN, who is the secretary at the Tipton County Pre-school. They have two daughters; one is a student at BHS, and Emily is a teacher and coach at BMS. They also have a son-in-law, Jeff, and one grandson.

He graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1979 and attended Dyersburg State Community College for two years before earning his B.S. from the University of Tennessee at Martin and his M.A. from Trevecca Nazarene University.

Coach Jacobs has been at BHS since it opened. He loves sports and spending time with his family. He is the assistant head football coach and head softball coach. He has coached for 21 years.
