Tipton County Schools

 

1.       Type the following into your location bar:
     
http://helpdesk.tipton-county.com

 

2.      Type in your username; then hit <tab> and type in your password. Hit <enter>.

 

 

First time setup only:

¨       Click the Edit Profile link.  

¨       Click in the top Password box and type a new password.

¨       Hit <tab> and type the new password again.

 

Do not edit any other part of your profile – just the password.

 

 

3.      At the main login screen there will be several blue links at the top.  (They are not underlined like regular links; however, they are links.)

 

4.      Click the Submit New Request in order to enter a new request for technology service.

  1. Type in the appropriate Room number and Equipment type.  The serial number is not required.
  2. **VERY IMPORTANT** Click the drop-down arrow beside School and choose BHS.
  3. Leave the priority at 3.  Changing it will not affect the speed of your request being serviced.
  4. In the Nature of problem area, type a very brief description of the problem; for example, “Printer does not print.”
  5. In the Detailed description area, explain in appropriate detail what the problem is; for example, “Network printer attached to CPU444 is not printing.  After pressing the print icon, I receive a message that says xxxx.”
  6. Click the Submit button.  Your request is sent to both building level and district level technology personnel.

 

5.      The Open Requests link will allow you to check the status of requests you have previously sent; the Closed Requests link will allow you to see your requests listed after they have been taken care of.

  1. On the Open Requests page you may add additional information to the service call.  Enter the information and click Submit.  You may also edit the additional comments.
  2. On the Closed Requests page you may re-open the request.

 

6.  Log out by clicking the Log Out, Your Name link located under the Edit Profile link.
