From Ms. Scherffius:

I was born and grew up in Tipton County. I graduated from Covington High in 1998. After earning a B.A. in history and English from the University of Memphis, I received a master's degree in education from Union University, and I am currently working on my Reading Specialist certification.

I have been married to Adam Scherffius for seven years, and we have one son who is one year old.

This is my fifth year teaching; I have also taught at Dyersburg State.
