From Mrs. Burlison:

I grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi, and graduated from Biloxi High School.  After high school, I attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  In 1991, I received a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Business.  I earned a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) with a Finance concentration in 1993.  After college, I moved to Memphis and began my career in corporate finance.  I’ve since completed the Teacher Education Program at Union University. 

I was married in August 2002, and my incredibly cute son was born in December 2004.  In 2005 after the birth of my son, I made a major career move and became a teacher at Brighton High School.  In February of that same school year, I had another completely adorable child – my daughter.  While I went through quite a few life changes in a span of only a few years, I can honestly say I’ve never been happier! 

My children keep me very busy so I have little time for anything else.  When I do find free time, though, I like to read, watch sports (especially USM football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball), and shop!
