Mrs. Kasmai grew up in Clyde, Texas, a small rural town in West Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Abilene Christian University in 1983.
She began her teaching career at Clyde Elementary School where she taught third grade for nine years. After moving to Covington, TN, in 1992, she taught fourth grade at Crestview Elementary School. During this time she attended Abilene Christian University to obtain a Masters of Science in Counseling / Personal Services with a concentration in School Counseling.
She began her counseling career at Brighton High School in 1997, overseeing the ninth grade for three years. After transferring to Brighton Middle School for one year, she returned to BHS to oversee the seniors in 2001.
This is her 25th year in education.
Her husband, Naser Kasmai, is a pilot for FedEx. They have two sons. The oldest is an aerospace engineer for Lockheed / Martin in New Orleans, and the youngest is a pre-med major in his second year at Christian Brothers University. |
