Learn to Live; Live to Learn

I am from Walton, New York, a small town in upstate New York. My dad was a dairy farmer and my mom was a schoolteacher. I have three older brothers and a twin sister; all are teachers.

I attended college at Lambuth College in Jackson, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Science. I received my Masters at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL). I earned 45 hours above a masters at various institutions.

My husband owns a construction business. I have one daughter who attended BHS and is currently in college studying to be a teacher. She earned scholarships in softball and volleyball.

I have coached basketball and volleyball at Crestview Middle School and am currently coaching volleyball at Brighton High along with my sister and nephew.

I have been inducted into two Halls of Fame, one for high school athletics in New York and the other for pitching horseshoes in Tennessee. I have won ten state championships in horseshoe pitching and was seeded No. 1 in the world in 2000.
