I am from
Walton, New York, a small town in upstate New York. My dad was
a dairy farmer and my mom was a schoolteacher. I have three older
brothers and a twin sister; all are teachers.
I attended college at Lambuth College in Jackson, Tennessee, earning
a Bachelor of Science. I received my Masters at the University of
Southwestern Louisiana (USL). I earned 45 hours above a masters
at various institutions.
My husband owns a construction
business. I have one daughter who attended BHS and is currently in
college studying to be a teacher. She earned scholarships in softball
and volleyball.
I have coached basketball and volleyball at Crestview Middle School
and am currently coaching volleyball at Brighton High along with
my sister and nephew.
I have been inducted into two Halls of Fame, one for high school
athletics in New York and the other for pitching horseshoes in Tennessee.
I have won ten state championships in horseshoe pitching and was
seeded No. 1 in the world in 2000.
