The 2006-2007 Cheerleading Squad attended UCA summer camp June 19-21 where they participated in classes for Dance, Cheer, Stunting, game scenarios, and squad building techniques. The squad received Superior ribbons in every evaluation for the week, as well as Camp Champ trophies for their cheer and dance evaluations.
The squad participated in the optional home pom competition and received a 2nd place trophy. Darnesha Whitmore was named to the UCA All-Star Squad, giving her the opportunity to travel to London and participate in the New Year's Day London Parade. Ashley Moore placed first in the high school division in the jump off competition.
Brighton High School cheerleaders also received the UCA Leadership award, which is a tremendous honor since it is voted on by the other squads attending camp.
