BRIAN OSWALT


Coach Brian Oswalt joined the Brighton High School Cardinals coaching staff in 2002 as an assistant coach in charge of the pitchers and infielders.

Since Oswalt became head coach in 2003, the Cards have had 5 straight winning seasons with two 13AAA District Titles, one in-season 13AAA District Title, one !3AAA Runner-Up, 3 Regional Appearances, and one Sub-State Finalist. At the close of the 2005-06 season, the Cards were ranked 14th of 114 in West Tennessee with an overall record of 23-12. The Cards finished the ’06 season being noted in the Dandy Dozen as high as 6th. During this time, the Cardinal Baseball Program has had 16 players go on to play at college or have been signed to play professional baseball.

Prior to joining the BHS staff, Oswalt served as an assistant baseball coach at Louisville High School in Louisville, MS and as an assistant baseball coach at Weir High School in Weir, MS.
Coach Oswalt has served as a baseball scout for the Baltimore Orioles, conducting tryout camps since 2005 under Scouting Supervisor Mike Tullier.

Under the direction of Oswalt, the BHS Baseball Program has won 110 games since 2003 season.
Oswalt is a member of the Tennessee Baseball Coaching Association and TACA and Smyrna Baptist Church.
A native of Weir, MS, Oswalt now lives in Atoka, TN. He and his wife, Cristi Oswalt, have a daughter and son.

BARRY WHITE


Coach White has been the assistant head coach of Brighton Baseball for six years. He is also the golf coach..

Coach White attendend Dyersburg State Community College and Tennessee State. He is married to Anne, and has 5 children.

WW RAY


Coach Ray graduated from Covington High School in 2000 and from the University of Memphis in 2004. He started his teaching career at Munford High School and later moved to Brighton High. Coach Ray has been teaching at Brighton for four years and coaching here for five. He is an assistant volleyball coach and head coach for the JV baseball team.

Coach Ray is Married to Ashley, who is a teacher at Crestview Elementary. They have two children. He has been involved in sports all of his life. He played four years of baseball in high school and was on the 1999 State Championship team and on the 2000 State Runner-up team.

Coach Ray is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Covington, where he has been going since he was a child.
