Introduction

          The Tipton County School-Age Child Care Program was established in 1989 to provide child-care to school-age children after school. The program provides care on other days when school is not is session, including, but not limited to: in-service training, holidays, and in the summer. The developmentally appropriate child-care program focuses on the needs of the children and provides a variety of hands-on and sensory learning experiences as well as tutorial programs. There is a balance between stimulating and quiet activities, free choice and teacher-directed activities, and large and small group activities.

 

       The program is designed for children ages 5-12. Parents are responsible for registration and transportation. The hours of operations are 6:00 to 7:15 in the morning and 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon Monday through Friday during the school session. The hours of operation, when school is not is session, are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The program offers a snack in the afternoon during school hours, and two snacks during full day sessions. Parents are responsible for lunch on full days, unless notified by the SACC office.

 

       A $10.00 registration fee per family must accompany an up-dated application for enrollment. Fees are due and payable on Friday preceeding the child-care week. Parents arriving later than 6:00 p.m. for pick-up will be assessed an additional fee of $5.00 for every 15 minutes or part thereof, beginning at 6:01p.m.

 

       As part of registration, parents must also fill out and sign the Discipline Policy, the SACC Policy, Emergency Medical Care Form, Special Needs Form, the Field Trip Policy and Financial Agreement Form.

 

 

Procedures For Enrollment

1.      Complete registration form.

2.      Pay registration fee of $10.00 per family.

3.      Let your child’s teacher and SACC know in writing what days your child will be attending.

4.      Come to the SACC office for signing in/out.

5.      Pay fees by Friday preceeding each week. You WILL be charged a $10.00 late fee if payment is not received by Monday. If you refuse to pay the late fee, your child can no longer attend. Returned checks are subject to a fee of $20.00. After two returned checks, you are required to pay in cash ONLY.

6.      Pay the Site Director of the Secretary each week.

7.      Payments should be made with check or exact change.

8.      Contact the Site Director if the child’s home situation changes or if any problems arise with the center.

 

 

SACC Hours and Fees

            Any child, grades K-6 and ages 5-12, enrolled in a Tipton County Elementary School is eligible for enrollment into the Tipton County SACC program. A $10.00 registration fee per family is to accompany each application. Fees are due and payable on Friday preceeding the child-care week. Parents interested in an abbreviated week should notify the Site Director of the particular days that their child will attend at least two weeks prior to attending.
