Meet the teachers

Ms. Teresa

My name is Teresa Glover; I am a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Preschool & Childcare Administration and teacher certification in Pre-K through 4th grade. I also have a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through Trevecca Nazarene University. As of July 13, 2009, I now have my Administrator’s License. This is my fourth year at Austin Peay, but my experience with children also includes being an Assistant Director at La Petite Academy, an After School Coordinator and student worker at Barbara K. Lipman School and I have a nine-year-old daughter that also attends Austin Peay.

Ms. Tara

Tara Martchek is my full time assistant. This is her first year at Austin Peay. She grew up in Munford, TN, where she attended Munford High School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from the University of Memphis. She plans to return to school in the fall of 2010 to study Speech Language Pathology. Her experience with children ranges from babysitting, being a nanny to a family with four children, a personal assistant to a child with autism, and interning with special needs children. She plans to volunteer her assistance to Munford High School cheerleaders this season. Beauty pageants are Tara’s second passion. She was crowned Miss Tipton County in 2005, Miss Cordova in 2007, and Miss Music City in 2009.
