ReadThinkWrite: ReadWriteThink, established in April of 2002, is a partnership between the International Reading Association (IRA), the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), and the Verizon Foundation. NCTE and IRA are working together to provide educators and students with access to the highest quality practices and resources in reading and language arts instruction through free, Internet-based content.

Reading Workshop - Palma Sola Elementary School, Bradeton, FL

Literacy & Learning: Reading in the Content Areas Literacy & Learning involves a cooperative effort between Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana Public Broadcasting to develop and deliver, via satellite, a professional development series whose purpose is to enhance reading skills in grades 5 through 8. This site includes .pdf documents with lesson plans, stategies and resources.

Cyberguides: Teacher Guides and Student Activities CyberGuides are supplementary, standards-based, web-delivered units of instruction centered on core works of literature. Each CyberGuide contains a student and teacher edition, standards, a task and a process by which it may be completed, teacher-selected web sites and a rubric, based on California Language Arts Content Standards. (K-12)

Vocabulary.com This link takes teachers to the "How to Use" page. Each free session has three levels. Each level has 3 puzzles with 12 words each (36 total words in a session) and contains seven (7) additional activities/exercises that help develop vocabulary. It is continuously updated.
