Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is the Final Grades Mode button missing from the Scoresheet View?
A: The Final Grades button will NOT appear if the screen resolution is less than 1024 x 768. To fix this on a PC, you will right-click on the desktop. Choose properties, choose the seetings tab and then change the resolution to 1024 x 768.
Q: Why is my Progress Report 1 average different from my Report Card 1 average?
A: In the Pearson manual, it states that caetgory weights applied to Report Card 1 will apply to Progress Repot 1 since it is part of its hierarchy. However, we have noticed that when weighting categories the averages often appear differently. To make sure averages are correct, go ahead and setup category weights for Progress Reports as well.
Q: I have setup Progress Report 1 categories just like Report Card 1 categories, BUT the averages are still different?
A: You have probably added an assignment outside the date range for Progress Report 1. You may delete that assignment until after Progress Reports are run.
Q: I would like to change the names of my classes displayed in PowerTecher, can I do that?
A: Yes. Choose a class, Click View menu, Choose Class Info and type the desired name into Custom Display Name box and click Save. It will not change until you complete the next steps.....Click on Tools menu, Choose Preferences, Choose Section tab and bullet Custom Display Name.
