SPED Special Education Department Special Education is dear to my heart. I have learners in my classroom each year that fall into one of these categories and I have three children of my own that have ‘disabilities’. I have come to see these ‘disabilities’ as opportunities to get to know unique, creative, and wonderful individuals. I enjoy challenging my professional skills as I continually seek new and effective ways to help all children to learn.
