Summer TV re-runs are so yesterday. Turn off the tube and start your own book club with some must read classics

Take a ride on a paddle—boat

Try out some clean, fun jokes on your family and friends.

Make homemade bubbles: Mix 4 tablespoons dishwashing liquid, 1 –1/2 cups water, and 4 tablespoons light corn syrup. Use a flyswatter as a wand.

Start  a Garden: visit a nursery to find out which plants grow best

 

Say Cheese: Take some pictures of your friends and put them in an album.

Be a Rock Star: Buy or rent an instrument, such as a guitar, recorder, or harmonica, and learn to play it.

Keep a Summer Nature Journal: Take notes and draw what you see when you’re outside. Watch flowers and trees grow, and note animal behaviors, observe how the weather changes throughout the summer.

Analyze and practice your handwriting with this sentence… I know that green frogs eat purple cranberries. “The way you write your letters is an expression of personality”

Make popsicles for your pet. With an adult’s help, boil bouillon cubes following package directions. Freeze in an ice cube tray, then place into your pet’s bowl.

Eat your whole lunch completely blindfolded
